Yes, I completed the 500 KM run 6 months ago. But the memory is still fresh in my mind and read further to enjoy my first 500 KM run on this Red Machine.
Excitement! Enthusiasm!! Enjoyment!!! What else words I can add which starts ‘E’ to show the happiness on the day 1 of the Jawa Journeys.
I was waiting for the sun-rise. I came to the parking, touched, and pampered the Jawa for some time. Till the previous day, I was riding Yamaha Gladiator 125, the bike can be started in any gear and offers excellent corner handling. I always used to kick start the vehicle in the morning. But hereafter no more leg workout. Yeah, I can hear you! the kicker-cum-gear shifter is one thing I loved in the Jawa Motorcycle. But, I understand I own a modern machine which can wake up just with my thumb impression.
I admit that though Jawa is a classic machine, the power output was felt aggressive in the initial days. I would ask you to have at least 6 months of ride experience before getting the Jawa as your ride companion. It took me 200 KM to get used to for the power output of the engine and I was riding at 50 to 60 kmph as recommended by the showroom person though it is a non-carburetor bike. That helped me in handling the vehicle in the traffic. In the first 500, it mostly drove inside the city and I haven’t felt any kind of heating issues. The noise from the liquid cooling unit may raise a question mark on your face. But don’t worry, the Jawa is chilling.
Conclusion:
This is not the complete review. I will take you with me in the journey and lets cross 1000 KM, 1500 KM and so on.
